SummaryImprove upon a simple model of hybrid rocket trajectory. This model will be used by a student team to design and build a rocket for the Spaceport America Cup.
Job DescriptionImprove the current python code. Implement detailed models for combustion, drag, oxidizer injection, and the thermodynamic state of the oxidizer storage tank.

Training PlanThe student must be trained in the basics of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, propulsion, and python programming. The majority of these concepts are included in undergraduate mechanical engineering coursework. If the student is missing important knowledge in any of these areas, I will meet with them to provide training, and guide them to textbooks and other resources.
