SummaryThis position will be assistant to the PPerfLab at Portland State. Specifically, the student will do test runs and test out portions of the Crux workflow critical path tool and other research efforts. This involves runs on the Coeus Cluster on campus, and learning performance measurement tools.
Job DescriptionSpecifically, the student will do test runs and test out portions of the Crux workflow critical path tool. This involves runs on the Coeus Cluster on campus, and learning performance measurement tools. The student will work with the PI and also other students in the PPerfLab to accomplish this work.
Computational ResourcesThe PPerfLab linux cluster (Wyeast), the Coeus heterogeneous cluster at PSU, the NSF sponsored education testbed linux cluster, possibly other NSF resources as time allows.
Contribution to CommunityThe student will learn further about HPC applications, why they are important, and also directly be involved in developing a performance tool that might be installed in near future onto other XSEDE platforms.
